2014 was a memorable year! The weather did us proud again, which meant the garden looked fabulous, the outdoor pool was a very popular spot, we hatched a batch of ducklings and the archery was not rained off once!!
It was also a great year for Bude in general. We saw several new and quality restaurants open up and the first ever Bude for Food festival took place and was an unprecedented success. It was supported by Paul Ainsworth from the acclaimed No.6 restaurant who told me he had attended many “first food festivals” over the years, but was amazed by the professionalism, scale and interest that Bude for Food attracted. So much so that the 2015 is already in the diary for September!
The sea pool was more popular than ever with the daily Swim Safe sessions by the RNLI and to top it all, Bude achieved the Bronze Award for Best UK Coastal Resort in the 2014 British Travel Awards.
