“We’ve had a great few days at the Round House cottages, despite the weather being pretty rubbish! The indoor pool and playroom were fab and so nice to have everything so close. Recommend Sandymouth for perfect combo of rock pool and expansive sand plus good café next to the car park. 15 mins drive.

We had a great day at Tintagel and braved the new foot bridge in the wind and rain (with a 3 month old baby!), which was fantastic. Definitely worth a visit. We hugely recommend The Temple in Bude where we had a lovely lunch – food was excellent and a cool shop too. Thanks for a lovely stay!

“Thank you to Alan & Linda. We have had wonderful late summer break in the most beautiful location. Thoroughly enjoyed Clovelly and mooching around the North coast of Devon and Cornwall.

We hope to make a regular return

The Shepherds stayed in Nightingale

“We’ve had a fab stay at Broomhill Manor. When the weather wasn’t great, we made the most of the pool and games rooms. All the provisions for our toddler were much appreciated and made packing a lot simpler.

We enjoyed mussels at Life’s a Beach, The Big Sheep is great for kids, National Trust Sandymouth beach, Rick Stein’s for fish & chips in Padstow, The Tree Inn Sunday carvery (arrive early!). Thanks Alan and Linda.

The Bells stayed in Kittiwake

“This is our second stay at Broomhill and first in Dunlin. We have loved the “upside down” cottage – and its positioning to the pool has been a definite hit! We’ve been lucky with the weather and only one rainy day really. Lots of beach time at Summerleaze and our favourite Crooklets beach. Exploring and body boarding have been great.

Favourite places: Tintagel, Boscastle and Hidden Valley. Favourite food places: Rosie’s at Crooklets and Preston Gate (15 mins walk)

Kids have loved both pools as well as tennis, and fantastic archery which we all did. We love the bar in the evening too!! Alan and Linda have been fantastic hosts and we look forward to coming back next year!

The Jaggard family stayed in Dunlin

“Our 3rd visit to Broomhill and House Cottage, it has everything we need for a lovely holiday. Our girls did lots of horse riding & made lots of friends with other girl guests. We made good use of both pools, but also managed to venture out to the beach a couple of days at Widemouth bay – plenty of parking (need to pay), toilets and lovely café. We spent a long day at Hidden Valley – better for older kids, but enjoyed it very much”

The Buckinghams stayed in House Cottage

“We’ve had a fun week here at Broomhill. Lots for kids to do & the weather was perfect – not too hot! We enjoyed Summerleaze, Crooklets & Sandymouth beaches. Ate at The Tree Inn, Stratton – yummy Sunday lunch, also the Olive Tree on the canal in Bude – excellent. Life’s a beach for lunch – pretty good. We’ve enjoyed two pony rides each for the kids here too.

Very welcoming & cosy place to stay. Thank you very much!”

The Aldworth-Grays stayed in Nightingale

“We had a lovely break and enjoyed all the facilities! The weather was beautiful and we made good use of the lovely outdoor pool.

Very special evening at The Bank in Bude. Fabulous tapas in an unusual place – a bit unexpected. Great service & ambience!! Elements – wonderful views of the coastline! Great Italian food!

A big thank you to Alan & Linda for helping us with our bookings and enabling us to have a very special time together as an extended family! You have a beautiful place and the baskets & tubs are fabulous!”

Three generations stayed in Heron

“We had a wonderful stay. Broomhill Manor would have been an amazing place to stay even if the weather had been bad (which you have to expect). Fortunately it was glorious and we enjoyed the outdoor pool, trampoline, playgrounds, BBQ, hot-tub, spa, indoor pool….over and over again! My little boy had a fantastic time and has been smiling for the whole of his first holiday 🙂 Alan was so helpful and all the staff so friendly. This is such a find – a real gem of a place and we can’t wait to come back!

The Atack family stayed in Cormorant

“We had the best weather it was nice and sunny. We went to the beach and went into the beautiful town of Bude. I will comment on this amazing holiday. I loved the space I had to play football and all the play stuff. We also enjoyed the pool. I loved this holiday!”

Sands family stayed in Grebe

“We have had the most wonderful time at Broomhill Manor. The cottage and its surroundings have been beautifully maintained and we’ve really enjoyed using the leisure facilities (pools, hot tubs, games room, children’s play room and horse riding to name but a few). Plus, we’ve been perfectly situated to enjoy the stunning scenery – not only in the grounds, but by visiting nearby Bude and going on coastal walks.

This was our first holiday as a family of three – since welcoming Oliver to the world seven months ago – and the baby-friendly services of Broomhill such as providing a travel cot, black-out blinds, baby monitors, a baby bath seat, a high chair and, of course, having meals delivered to our cottage have all made this a stress-free, relaxing and really enjoyable trip. Thank you!”
