ASA and RNLI to offer FREE swimming and beach safety lessons for children at Bude Sea Pool
The ASA, the national governing body for swimming in England, and the RNLI, the charity that saves lives at sea, are providing a unique and fun opportunity for all 7-14 year olds at Bude Sea Pool this summer with FREE swimming and beach safety lessons for children.
Swim Safe will give children a practical understanding of swimming in the sea, as well as advice on how to stay safe at the beach. Each 40 minute session is completely free and includes in-water tuition in a structured and fun swimming lesson with accredited ASA teachers, as well as beach safety advice from RNLI lifeguards.
It will run six days a week (except Saturday) from 29th July until 30th August at Bude Sea Pool and will be open to both visitors and local children who are able to swim at least 25 metres unaided. Just turn up on the day or call 07760 991029 (Monday – Friday 9.30am – 5pm) to book a spot in advance.
The project is also being made possible thanks to the Swimming Trust, The Friends of Bude Sea Pool and Visit Bude.
