Sir John Betjemen described St. Swithin’s church at Launcells, Bude, as “the least spoilt church in Cornwall”. The ancient church of St. Swithin’s has been serving its parish for over 1000 years.  It is open each day from 9.30am till 5pm and on WEDNESDAY AFTERNOONS, visitors are welcomed with free tea and coffee and a guided tour.

The 2015 FLOWER FESTIVAL is being held from Thursday 16th July to Sunday 19th July, with a special “Songs of Praise” service at 6pm on Wednesday 15th July (St. Swithin’s Day).  This year’s theme is Poldark’s Cornwall.

The church is open from 10am till 5pm during the flower festival, except Sunday 19th when it opens at 12 noon.

Light lunches, snacks, cream teas and tea and coffee is served.
