“Another wonderful week at Broomhill. Really enjoyed the outdoor pool and its temperature! The double decker bunk bed was a real hit with the little ones, who will surely be disappointed to return home to a normal bed! We also took part in the archery again this year and had a great time. I would really recommend the archery to everyone. The children were overjoyed at the pony rides they had and I should have booked for ourselves to ride with them so that we could share the experience.

Thanks for another lovely week!”

The Howell family stayed in Woodpecker, August 2016

“This is a great place to vacation for a family. We had a blast! The children really loved the swimming pools which they used almost everyday. The owners seem to have put a lot of effort into the details and it was evident. This is our first time here and we’d  seriously consider returning for more family holidays!”

The Frederick family stayed in Chough with their twins and 3yo, August 2016

“We have had such a wonderful and relaxing week – Broomhill is such a lovely place! Thank you to everyone for being so friendly – it made the holiday! We highly recommend the daily croissants and pain au chocolat – delicious! We also loved the outdoor swimming pool, tennis court, hanging baskets and the games room.”

The Meyfroidt family stayed in Kittiwake, July 2016

“Spent a lovely week here in Swallow (one bedroom). Really pleased with Broomhill. Facilities excellent for us and our toddler. Perfect base for a week on the Cornish/Devon border. We will definitely come again but we will book a larger cottage to escape from the child! Blessed with the weather – only one poor day but we still had plenty to do here. Lovely week”

The Kavanaghs stayed in Swallow with their toddler, July 2016

“A great week in a lovely location! Both the pools were great and we enjoyed the horse riding, playroom, gym and the bar! Nicky’s food was good too. Beach days were great and we’d recommend Widemouth, Summerleaze and Crooklets. Tintagel was great too. Thanks to Alan and Linda for a nice stay”

The McCardles stayed in Dunlin, July 2016

“Leaving Fulmar Cottage today after our 2nd break this year at Broomhill. Wonderful week – weather great, facilities fabulous as last time. Thanks Alan, Linda and Toby. Wonderful recommendation to go to Nortcott Mouth beach – tide out, wonderful for dogs and great character Margaret Frost who runs the tea garden. Will definitely have to come back particularly as failed personal challenge of getting into the Sea Pool at Summerleaze Beach – good excuse for third holiday this year 🙂 “

The McEwens stayed in Fulmar with their dog Beau, July 2016

“Well, not Cornwall’s finest week weatherwise! But our 4yo and 1yo weren’t to know and enjoyed their “beach holiday” nonetheless. The indoor pool and playroom were life savers in the rain and we did get to many of the beaches – if briefly… Also brilliant were Helen and Katie at the stables for our 4yo’s pony ride. Generally terrified of animals, they got her on and riding – a huge confidence boost! We loved the local grocery shop on Lansdown Rd in town – a real treasure trove of local yummies! Had a great holiday!”

“What a cottage + what a place! Thank you so much for your lovely hospitality. The kids loved every minute as did we. You have a unique and wonderful set up here at Broomhill and we will be talking of this as our first proper family holiday for many years! Facilities are great, I possibly wouldn’t leave the gardens if I had half the chance but we did. We ventured out to find a beach and wasn’t disappointed by Crackington Haven – great opportunity to do some serious rock pooling. Oh and Kelly’s ice creams! Thank you so much. We will be back again for sure!”

The Pike family stayed in Sandpiper, May 2016

“This is our first time at Broomhill Manor and I am sure that it will not be our last. The cottage is absolutely lovely, a real home from home. The complimentary scones and cream were a very welcome surprise and Dexter the Labrador was very excited by the dog biscuits! The cottage was lovely and clean and had all of the amenities we could want and more.

The site itself is lovely and we have made good use of the pool, games room, tennis court and bar. Thank you Alan and Linda for a wonderful few days. I hope we can come back again soon.”

“Fantastic holiday! (Round House) cottage is cosy and well-equipped and really lovely. Great location and lots to do on site if you don’t feel like venturing far. Our 16-month old had a fab time in the pool and play room. Pottered around Bude one day, Tintagel Castle and Morewellham Quay – both worth a visit. Lovely garden for a BBQ with grand parents who were staying in Grebe cottage. Looking forward to returning”

There has been something for everyone and the kids haven’t been short of things to do. We’ve had plenty of days out and can recommend Bude beach, Port Isaac and Padstow. Alan and Linda have made us feel very welcome and provide a lovely, comfortable environment that is safe for the kids to run around. The cottages are beautiful and have everything we needed. “This is our third time at Broomhill but first in Seagull. No hot tub, but close to the pool and has everything we could possibly need. This weekend was the Bude for Food festival so even more going on in the little town than normal. Loads of cooking and kids sessions in the day and entertainment in the evenings. Friday was a comedy night and Shappi Korsandi was on and the Saturday was live music, great fun!We have all loved our stay at Broomhill.  We had a massage with Hazel at Broomhill which was amazing – really relaxing and reasonably priced. Favourite restaurants – Bay View Inn, Elements and the Tree Inn, and the Widemouth Bay Café for breakfast. Recommend Raven Surf School  – friendly and fun instructors who know their stuff! Thanks Alan and Linda for a great long weekend and we will definitely be back in the New Year!

“We have all loved our stay at Broomhill.  The cottage is very well equipped and soon became a home from home. The on-site facilities are wonderful! We used the indoor pool every day and will miss it terribly. Our daughter was particularly excited to get “home” to the cottage each day to go swimming before dinner. She also enjoyed a pony ride on Misprint and LOVED it! Such a lovely experience for us all. The grounds are all very well looked after. Would love to return…. Thank you Alan and Linda”

The Boddington family stayed in Dunlin, September 2015

“We have had a really wonderful time at Broomhill Manor. A lovely, beautiful, clean Apartment. On arrival Alan showed us around the grounds which has excellent facilities and beautiful gardens. The children were so excited when they learnt what they could have a go at including Archery which was run by Zena, an excellent tutor who was passionate, friendly and made sure we all had a great time. The children also tried horse riding for the first time which was great. Couldn’t believe it when little Lucy, aged 2, rode for 1/2 and hour, smiling continually the whole time. Would thoroughly recommend it! Bude is a great place with many lovely beaches, shops restaurants – especially Elements. This proved to be a wonderful week away which we would totally recommend and will certainly return if we come to this area again.”

“We’ve had a lovely week here at Broomhill Manor for the second year.  The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.  We particularly enjoyed the archery, Zena was a good teacher and we felt we were improving.  The girls had a riding lesson at the stables and although Daisy was good, Tiffin only had a brake and an accelerator!  We made use of both pools and the games room.

We had a taster session with Free Wave Surfing at Widemouth Bay, it was great fun but totally exhausting.  The cottage is ideal for Blaze, the greyhound, as he doesn’t have far to go for his walks along the lane!”
